Depression is a mental disorder characterized by long and intense periods of deep sadness, despondency, and loss of interest in life. A person suffering from depression often feels emotionally and physically exhausted, as well as experiencing feelings of anxiety and despair. Symptoms of depression include changes in appetite, drowsiness or insomnia, fatigue, decreased self-esteem and self-esteem, and difficulty concentrating and making decisions.
