Diaphoretic effect

18.09.2025 | Natalia Kandybey

Diaphoretic action is the ability of a substance to increase sweating. This effect contributes to the thermoregulation of the body and can be used in the treatment of colds to reduce fever and accelerate the elimination of toxins.

Diaphoretics activate the sweat glands, increasing heat transfer. In phytotherapy, linden, elderberry, raspberry and other plants with natural diaphoretics are often used for this purpose.
