Echinacin is a biologically active substance found in Echinacea purpurea and other species of the genus Echinacea. It has immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects.

Echinacin preparations are used for the prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, colds, with reduced immunity, especially in the autumn-winter period.
