Methyluracil is a drug belonging to the group of immunostimulating and reparative (healing) drugs. Its active ingredient stimulates metabolic processes in cells, accelerates tissue healing, promotes the regeneration of skin and mucous membranes, and also activates the production of leukocytes and erythrocytes in the bone marrow.

The drug is used in various forms: in the form of ointments – for the treatment of wounds, burns, cracks, ulcers, dermatitis; in suppositories – for proctological and gynecological diseases; in tablets – for conditions that require stimulation of immunity and hematopoiesis. Methyluracil is effective for gastric ulcers, cervical erosion, anal fissures, periodontitis, and postoperative wounds.

The drug is well tolerated by most patients, has a minimum of side effects and can be used in both adults and children. Its ability to accelerate tissue regeneration makes methyluracil useful in both acute and chronic processes where cell repair is required.
