Purulent process

A purulent process is an inflammation accompanied by the formation of pus due to the action of pathogenic microorganisms, mainly bacteria. It manifests itself as pain, swelling, redness, and increased temperature in the affected area.

It may require antibiotic therapy, drainage, or surgical intervention.
