For adults, apply liniment externally: apply to the affected areas of the skin. Place a sterile napkin or sterile bandage soaked in the drug on the wounds. Change the bandage once every 2-3 days

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The medicine has a mild disinfectant, astringent, and local irritant effect. Due to its mild irritant effect on tissue receptors, it helps accelerate regeneration by normalizing blood circulation in tissues and enhancing keratinization processes in the epidermis.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications: abscesses, furuncles, pressure sores, lymphadenitis, lymphangitis, burns, frostbite, trophic ulcers.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to tar, xeroform, or other components of the medicine.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction: when used simultaneously with products for external use, new compounds with an unpredictable effect may form.
Special warnings and precautions for use.
The liniment is intended for external use only. Before applying a dressing, the wound should be cleaned of necrotic tissue, blisters should be opened, and the wound should be washed with an antiseptic solution.
Do not allow the liniment to come into contact with mucous membranes. Hands should be washed thoroughly after applying the liniment to prevent residues from getting into the eyes, nose, or mouth. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Birch tar, which is part of balsamic liniment, can increase sensitivity to sunlight, so sun exposure should be avoided during treatment with the medicine in summer.
If the signs of the disease do not begin to disappear or, conversely, the condition worsens, or adverse effects occur, use of the medicine should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted regarding further therapy.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Since the safety and clinical efficacy of the medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding have not been studied, it may be prescribed taking into account the benefit-risk ratio.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving vehicles or operating other machinery.

For adults, the liniment should be used externally: apply to the affected areas of the skin. Apply a sterile wipe soaked with the medicine or a sterile dressing to wounds. Change the dressing once every 2–3 days. The duration of treatment is from 6 to 20 days.
Children: the medicine should not be used in children.
