Bioflavonoids are a large group of plant polyphenolic compounds (eg, rutin, quercetin, hesperidin), for which antioxidant and capillary-protective properties are described.

In pharmaceutical practice, bioflavonoids can be part of drugs and dietary supplements, in particular agents for maintaining the vascular wall and antioxidant protection. The content and effects depend on the source, form, and dosage of a particular product.
