Bisabolol is a natural organic compound that is found predominantly in the essential oil of chamomile and some other plants, such as candea (a tree from South America). The most common form, α-bisabolol, has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and sedative properties. Due to these characteristics, bisabolol is widely used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries to create skin care products, especially for sensitive and irritated skin.

In cosmetology, bisabolol is added to creams, lotions, shampoos and other products to reduce irritation, redness and inflammation of the skin. In addition, this substance promotes tissue regeneration and accelerates the healing of small wounds and abrasions. In pharmaceuticals, it is used in ointments and gels aimed at relieving the symptoms of inflammatory diseases such as dermatitis and eczema. Bisabolol is considered a safe and effective ingredient for maintaining skin health, but it is recommended to perform an individual tolerance test or consult a specialist before using it.
