Bloating

26.03.2026 | Natalia Kandybey

Bloating is a feeling of fullness or an increase in abdominal volume, often associated with the accumulation of gas or impaired intestinal motility. It may be accompanied by rumbling, discomfort, a feeling of heaviness, or moderate pain.

Causes of bloating may include dietary habits, overeating, indigestion, an imbalance of intestinal microflora, enzyme deficiency, or irritable bowel syndrome. Relief is usually achieved by adjusting the diet and eating habits. If bloating is frequent, persistent, or accompanied by other symptoms, it is worth discussing it with your doctor.
