Bleeding is the loss of blood from blood vessels due to damage or disruption of tissue integrity. It can be external (visible) or internal, when blood accumulates in body cavities or tissues. The intensity of bleeding depends on the type of damaged vessels and the condition of the blood clotting system.
Common causes include injuries, inflammatory processes, vascular diseases, blood clotting disorders, or deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals. In cases of heavy bleeding, symptoms such as weakness or dizziness, or when internal bleeding is suspected, immediate medical attention is required.
