Composition:

active ingredients: levomenthol, methyl salicylate;

1 g of ointment contains levomenthol 39 mg, methyl salicylate 202 mg;

excipients: soft white paraffin, paraffin.

Main physical and chemical properties: white or yellow ointment with the smell of menthol and methyl salicylate.

Methyl salicylate has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, irritating and distracting effects, which are based on the effect on the increased permeability of capillaries, microcirculation processes, inhibition of the activity of inflammatory mediators, including bradykinin, which has an algogenic effect. Irritation of sensitive nerve endings with menthol causes a mild local anesthetic effect.

Before using the drug, it is first necessary to apply it to a small area of the skin to prevent the development of allergic reactions.

Some patients, especially those with sensitive skin, may experience discomfort when used in the heat or after taking a bath.

Apply the drug to undamaged areas of the skin.

Do not use with an occlusive dressing.

Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive skin. If the cream accidentally gets into the eyes, it is necessary to wash them with water and immediately consult a doctor.

Do not apply to persons prone to allergic reactions to the components of the drug.

When rubbed into the skin, it causes a sensation of cold, then warmth, slight burning and tingling.
