Boric acid has a pronounced antiseptic effect
Crystalline powder delays the growth and development of bacteria, destroys fungi
The agent with pronounced antimicrobial and antimycotic properties has an astringent effect, disrupts the permeability of the cell membrane and stimulates tissue regeneration processes. It penetrates well through the skin and mucous membranes. If you suffer from dermatitis, eczema, pruritus or pyoderma, try boric acid. It has a pronounced antiseptic effect, as it inhibits the development of pathogenic microorganisms.
The drug can also be used as an antiseptic for conjunctivitis, colpitis, acute or chronic otitis
Application – in case of dermatitis and eczema, boric acid should be used in the form of an aqueous solution (3 g of powder should be diluted in 100 ml of water). It is necessary to make lotions for sore spots. For conjunctivitis, a weaker aqueous solution is used (2 g of powder per 100 ml). For the treatment of otitis, it is necessary to use an alcohol solution. It is necessary to instill 3-5 drops.
Composition:
active substance: boric acid;
1 can or container or bag contains 10 g of boric acid.
1 package contains 30 g of boric acid.

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
Boric acid has antiseptic and fungistatic activity, and also has an astringent effect. Coagulates proteins (including enzymes) of the microbial cell, disrupts the permeability of the cell membrane. A 5% aqueous solution inhibits the processes of phagocytosis, a 2-4% solution delays the growth and development of bacteria. It has a weak irritating effect on granulation tissues.
Pharmacokinetics.
It is adsorbed through the affected area of the skin, the mucous membrane of the digestive tract (in case of accidental ingestion).
The drug penetrates well through the skin and mucous membranes; it is poorly excreted from the body and can accumulate in internal organs and tissues.
Clinical characteristics.
Indication.
Conjunctivitis, dermatitis, eczema, including wetting eczema, impetigo, pyoderma, acute and chronic otitis, colpitis.
Contraindication.
Increased sensitivity to boric acid, impaired kidney function, chronic mesotympanitis with a normal or slightly altered mucous membrane, traumatic perforations of the tympanic membrane; the period of pregnancy or breastfeeding, for the treatment of mammary glands.
Special security measures.
Do not use the drug on large areas of skin. Do not use for washing the body cavity – absorption is possible. Do not allow the drug to get into the eyes.
