Calendula tincture – has an anti-inflammatory effect and promotes wound healing

The tool can be used to treat purulent and other wounds, as well as some diseases of the digestive system. It has a pronounced antiseptic effect, relieves inflammation, accelerates the regeneration of skin cells and mucous membranes.

If you have burns, cuts, or festering wounds, try calendula tincture. No less effectively, the drug can be used for rinsing with stomatitis, gingivitis, angina, pharyngitis and other inflammations of the mouth and throat. It eliminates redness and destroys pathogenic bacteria.

Calendula tincture can be used internally for cholecystitis, cholangitis, biliary tract dyskinesia, as it has a choleretic effect.

For rinsing, it is necessary to dilute 1 teaspoon of tincture in a glass of warm water. For cuts, cracks and purulent wounds, the drug is used for applications. For internal use, drink the tincture 10-20 drops 15-30 minutes before meals 3-4 times a day

active substance: tincture of calendula flowers and flower baskets (Calendulae flos) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 70%);
1 bottle contains tinctures of calendula flowers and flower baskets (Calendulae flos) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 20 ml, 25 ml, 40 ml or 50 ml.

Biologically active substances contained in the flowers and flower baskets of calendula have an antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and moderately choleretic effect.

Clinical characteristics.
Indication.
Apply locally as an antiseptic for infected (purulent) wounds, cuts, skin burns and inflammation of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, gums (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx, tonsils (pharyngitis, tonsillitis); internally – as a choleretic agent for biliary tract dyskinesia, cholangitis, cholecystitis (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindication.
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
Calendula tincture enhances the effect of other anti-inflammatory and choleretic agents (in particular, preparations based on chamomile and yarrow). When using simultaneously with any other medicinal products, the doctor should be informed.

Before starting treatment with the drug, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Since the composition of the drug includes ethanol, the tincture is not recommended to be taken internally for a long time.

Method of application and dosage.
Calendula tincture should be taken internally 15-30 minutes before meals, diluting it in a small amount of warm boiled water. Adults are recommended to take 10-20 drops of tincture 3-4 times a day for 1 month. For children over 12 years old – at the rate of 1 drop per 1 year of life 3-4 times a day.
For oral rinses, dilute 1 teaspoon of calendula tincture in a glass of warm boiled water.
Use for local applications for cuts, purulent wounds, burns. Dilute 1 teaspoon of the drug in a glass of boiled water.
The duration and method of application is determined by the doctor individually.

Children.
It is not recommended to be taken internally by children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.
There are no messages.

Adverse reactions.
The development of allergic reactions is possible (including skin redness, rash, itching, angioedema). When taken internally, a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, a burning sensation in the epigastric region, and abdominal pain are possible. In case of any unwanted reactions, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
