Eucalyptus inhibits the growth of staphylococcus aureus, escherichia, mycobacterium tuberculosis, trichomonads, and dysenteric amoeba. The main component of essential oil is cineole monocyclic terpene. Eucalyptus tincture has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and disinfectant effect, which is due to the oxidizing effect of cineol monocyclic terpene and the anti-inflammatory effect associated with almost all physiologically active substances that are part of it.
