Description

Hawthorn fruit – a drug of natural origin increases the contraction of the heart muscle and relieves excessive excitability, normalizes blood pressure indicators and helps reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood. Suitable for adults and children over 14 years old.

If you suffer from angioneurosis, atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia or functional heart disorders, try hawthorn / hawthorn fruits. The herbal remedy increases blood supply in the coronary vessels of the heart and the vessels of the brain. It also has a hypotensive and sedative effect, relieves spasms.

The color of the fruits is from yellow-orange and brownish-red to dark brown or black, sometimes with a whitish coating of crystallized sugar. There is no smell. The taste is sweet;
coarse powder: a mixture of pieces of various shapes of the outer shell of fruits and woody stones from yellow-orange and brownish-red to dark brown or black, sometimes with a whitish coating of crystallized sugar, which pass through a sieve with a diameter of 3 mm. Biologically active substances of fruits have a cardiotonic, antispasmodic, hypotensive, sedative and desensitizing effect; strengthen the blood supply in the coronary vessels of the heart and in the vessels of the brain, increase the sensitivity of the myocardium to cardiac glycosides, increase the contraction of the heart muscle and reduce the excitability of the latter, have a calming effect, normalize blood pressure, contribute to lowering the level of cholesterol in the blood.

Clinical characteristics.
Indication.
Functional disorders of cardiac activity, angioneurosis, as well as (as an addition to basic therapy) mild forms of atrial fibrillation and paroxysmal tachycardia.

Contraindication.
Expressed arterial hypotension and bradycardia. Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
May increase the effect of hypnotic, sedative, hypotensive and antiarrhythmic drugs, cardiac glycosides.

Features of application.
Blood pressure control is necessary during drug treatment. With long-term use, a doctor’s consultation is necessary.

Using during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Method of application and dosage.
Place 1 tablespoon of fruit in an enamel dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in hot water (in a water bath) for 15 minutes, cool for 45 minutes at room temperature, strain. Squeeze the residue to a filtered infusion. Bring the volume of the resulting infusion to the initial volume (200 ml) with boiled water. Take warm 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults – ⅓ cup, children over 14 years old – ¼ cup.
Place 1 filter bag containing 4 g in a glass or enamel container, pour 100 ml of boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes. Take warm 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals: adults and children over 14 years old – 100 ml each.
The duration of use is determined by the doctor individually and depends on the form and severity of the disease, the effect achieved, the nature of the therapy (mono- or complex therapy).

Children.
The drug should be used by children aged 14 and over as prescribed by a doctor.

Overdose.
With long-term use in large doses, drowsiness, a decrease in blood pressure, and bradycardia are possible. If signs of overdose appear, the drug should be stopped and symptomatic and supportive therapy should be carried out (according to the patient’s clinical condition).

Adverse reactions.
Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, swelling of the skin); drowsiness, decreased heart rate.

Expiration date. 2 years.

Storage conditions.
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C in a place inaccessible to children. Prepared infusion – in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
