Occlusive dressing

27.10.2025 | Natalia Kandybey

An occlusive dressing is an airtight covering that prevents air and moisture from reaching the wound or skin. It creates a “greenhouse effect” that improves the penetration of active substances and accelerates healing.

Such dressings are used in dermatology, cosmetology, and the treatment of chronic wounds or dermatoses.
