Main physicochemical properties: transparent liquid of green color, with the smell and taste of peppermint. During storage, precipitation is allowed.

Pharmacodynamics.

Peppermint oil (contains up to 70% of menthol and its esters) and other biologically active substances contained in peppermint leaves (ketone-menthone, oleanolic and ursolic acids, flavonoid glycosides), stimulating sensitive receptors of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and stomach, reflexively reduce the feeling of nausea and prevent vomiting, and also have a moderate antispasmodic, sedative and choleretic effect.
