The drug is intended for the treatment of dermatological diseases. It effectively neutralizes pathogenic microorganisms and quickly soothes the skin, eliminates manifestations of inflammation. The ointment dries and softens the skin well. Intended for adults and children.

If you suffer from dermatitis, hives or eczema, try zinc ointment. Also, the tool accelerates the healing of cuts and scratches, small burns, and other skin damage. It has pronounced antiseptic properties, significantly reduces the secretion of exudate.

Zinc ointment can be used for the prevention and treatment of diaper dermatitis.

The ointment should be applied in a thin layer to the affected areas. If necessary, you can put a bandage on top. To prevent diaper dermatitis, zinc ointment should be applied to clean and dry skin before going to bed at night. If signs of irritation have already appeared, then the drug should be used at each diaper change.

Composition:
active substance: zinc oxide;
1 g of ointment contains zinc oxide – 100 mg;
excipient: soft white paraffin.

Zinc ointment has an astringent, adsorbing, antiseptic effect, reduces the expressiveness of exudative processes.
When applied locally, it reduces inflammation and irritation of the skin, softens and dries it.
Pharmacokinetics.
When applied externally, zinc ointment is practically not adsorbed into the systemic blood stream and does not exhibit a resorptive effect.

Clinical characteristics.

Indication. Treatment and prevention of diaper dermatitis. Treatment of dermatitis, eczema, pruritus, skin damage (small thermal and sun burns, cuts, scratches).

Contraindications . Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug. Purulent-inflammatory diseases of the skin and adjacent tissues.

Special security measures. The ointment is intended for external use only. Do not use for pustular skin diseases.
Apply the ointment only to non-infected areas of the skin.
Do not allow the ointment to get on the mucous membranes and in the eyes. If the ointment gets into the eyes, they should be washed with plenty of running water and consult a doctor.
If the child’s diaper rash does not disappear within 7 days from the start of using the drug, it is necessary to stop the treatment and seek a second consultation with the doctor.

For the purpose of prevention, apply the ointment to clean and dry skin (under diapers), especially before going to bed, to prevent skin irritation due to prolonged contact with wet diapers.
For therapeutic purposes, apply the ointment to the skin in a thin layer three times a day (if necessary, during each diaper change) at the first signs of hyperemia (redness of the skin), itching or minor skin irritation.
Dermatitis, eczema, thermal and sunburn, cuts, scratches, welts
Apply the ointment in a thin layer on the affected surface. If necessary, apply a gauze bandage.
The doctor determines the term of treatment depending on the nature and course of the disease.

Children.
To be used in pediatric practice.

Overdose. With local application, overdose is unlikely. Accidental ingestion of large doses may cause vomiting, diarrhea, stimulation of the central nervous system, and convulsions.

Adverse reactions. Reactions of increased sensitivity to the drug, including itching, hyperemia, rash, changes in the place of application of the ointment. With prolonged use, skin irritation is possible.

Expiration date. 4 years.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C; freezing is not allowed. Keep out of the reach of children.
