Lactobacilli

Lactobacilli are a group of beneficial bacteria that are part of the normal microflora of the intestines, oral cavity, and other mucous membranes. They are involved in maintaining a healthy microbiome and protecting the body from pathogens.

These bacteria produce lactic acid, which helps maintain a favorable environment for beneficial microflora and inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria. Lactobacilli are often included in probiotic preparations and fermented dairy products.
