Description

Composition:

active ingredients: menthol, novocaine (procaine hydrochloride), anesthetic (benzocaine);

100 ml of solution contain menthol – 2.5 g, novocaine (procaine hydrochloride) – 1 g, anesthesin (benzocaine) – 1 g;

excipient: ethanol 70%.

Medicinal form. Solution for external use, alcohol.

Main physical and chemical properties: colorless, transparent liquid with a menthol smell.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics. The drug has an antipruritic effect and a local anesthetic effect. When applied to the skin and mucous membranes, it causes irritation of nerve endings, which is accompanied by a feeling of coldness, slight burning and tingling.

Has a mild analgesic effect.

Pharmacokinetics. With local application, the drug does not enter the bloodstream.

Clinical characteristics.

Indication.

The drug is prescribed for neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia.

Contraindication.

The drug is contraindicated in case of increased sensitivity to novocaine and other components of the drug.

Special safety measures.

Do not apply on damaged skin and skin with manifestations of allergies. Do not apply to the skin of the face.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

The components of the drug (novocaine, anesthesin) weaken the antibacterial effect of sulfonamide drugs. Strengthen the effects of drugs with a local anesthetic effect.

Method of application and dosage.

The drug is used externally. Painful areas of the skin are rubbed with Menovazin 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment depends on the form, severity of the disease, the effect of the drug, as well as on the nature of the treatment (monotherapy or in combination with other drugs).

Children.

Do not apply to children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.

With long-term use, dizziness, general weakness, lowering of blood pressure, allergic reactions are possible. If such symptoms appear, the drug should be discontinued, the residues should be washed off the surface of the skin with water, and symptomatic therapy should be carried out.

Adverse reactions.

Allergic reactions are possible (hyperemia, skin irritation, itching, rashes, edema, urticaria).
