Tocopherols are a group of fat-soluble compounds known collectively as vitamin E. They have pronounced antioxidant properties, protecting the body’s cells from oxidative stress and damage caused by free radicals.
The most active form is α-tocopherol, which is involved in maintaining the normal functioning of the immune system, healthy skin, blood vessels and reproductive function. Tocopherols are found mainly in vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and green vegetables.
