Fucoxanthin is a natural pigment from the group of carotenoids found in brown algae. It gives them their characteristic brown-olive color and participates in the process of photosynthesis, providing additional light capture in low light conditions.

Fucoxanthin has been extensively studied for its potential health benefits. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-obesity properties, and may also help boost metabolism and reduce adipose tissue levels.
