Stress

Stress is the body’s response to physical, emotional, or mental strain. Within moderate limits, it helps the body adapt to changes; however, prolonged or excessive stress can negatively affect health.

Chronic stress is associated with sleep disturbances, fatigue, anxiety, weakened immunity, and an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Rest, physical activity, and maintaining psycho-emotional balance are important for reducing its impact.
