The drug based on herbal ingredients stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, as it irritates the receptors of the tongue and oral mucosa. Suitable for adults and children from 12 years old.

The drug must be taken 15-20 drops half an hour before meals three times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the manifestations of the disease, the desired effect and other factors, is determined individually.

Composition:
active ingredient: tincture of wormwood herb (Absinthii herba) (1 : 5) (extractant — ethanol 70 %);
1 vial contains tinctures of wormwood herb (Absinthii herba) (1 : 5) (extractant — ethanol 70 %) — 25 ml.

Medicinal form. Tincture.
Basic physical and chemical properties: transparent liquid of brownish-green color, with a characteristic odor, with a bitter taste. A mixture of the drug with water (2 : 1) gives a turbid solution.Precipitate formation during storage is allowed.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Means that increase appetite. Code ATH A15.

Wormwood tincture contains bitterness. The mechanism of action of the drug is due to irritation of sensitive nerve endings — taste buds of the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, tongue, which reflexively leads to increased secretion of gastric juice, increased appetite, improved digestion.

Contraindication. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Increased gastric secretion, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, reflux esophagitis, cholelithiasis, epilepsy. History of pelvic bleeding; anemia.

Children.

Overdose.
Use in higher doses, especially long-term, can lead to poisoning — the development of seizures, hallucinations, loss of consciousness.
With prolonged use, atonic constipation is possible.
Treatment. Symptomatic.

Adverse reactions.
Prolonged use of wormwood tincture can cause the so-called wormwood epilepsy. Nausea, vomiting, possible reactions of hypersensitivity (including hyperemia, rash, itching). If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the drug and be sure to consult a doctor.

Expiration date. 5 years.
Do not apply after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Storage conditions.
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 °C. Keep out of the reach of children. During storage, sediment formation is allowed.
